I have not been able to identify a species, either because I am not familiar enough with this genus to classify it correctly or because it may be an undescribed species. Though in this case an exotic species due to the birch tree association.
Basidiome (field characters) A Small brown mushroom 55 mm high and 30 mm in diam. with a smooth to slightly fibrillose cap, pale brown with a darker centre. Slender, pale brown stipe, pruinose near apex. Growing in mossy litter, consistent with Inocybe ecology. No obvious cortina remnants.
