Bright red resupinate crust with deep crevices and large verruculose setae

Basidiomata: Resupinate, annual or biennial, membranous, adherent, effused. Initially forming small orbicular colonies up to 5 mm diameter, later merging into linear patches 10–35 × 2–5 cm. Surface even or tuberculate, eventually becoming deeply irregularly creviced.
Hymenial Surface: When fresh: India‑red with a brighter periphery. With age: reddish‑purple or testaceous. Texture: even, tuberculate, or deeply creviced in older specimens. Margin: bright red, adherent, thinning out, with a narrow white or tinted fibrillose edge.
Context: Colour testaceous to umber, 150–400 µm thick.
