Deep blue, velvety, farinaceous species with a straight squamulose stipe and 5–6-angled spores; in mossy Myrtaceae forest.

Pileus: 10–20(–25) mm diam., campanulate to umbonate‑plane, the margin exceeding the lamellae and often incurved. Colour deep blue, surface velvety or finely fibrillose, dry, not striate and not hygrophanous.
Lamellae: (L 12–16, l 3) adnexed, emarginate, or decurrent—the latter especially in older basidiomes. Colour pink, with concolorous edges.
Stipe: 20–80 × 2 mm, cylindrical, straight, deep blue, densely covered with darker pustulate squamules or fibrils; dry.
Context: blue in the pileus and upper stipe, whitish at the base.
Odour/taste: strongly farinaceous.
