Cap: Reported from New Zealand collections as small to medium, brownish to yellow‑brown, often viscid to subviscid in wet weather. Colour and surface features vary among collections but generally fall within the brown–olive range.
Lamellae: Typically brown‑grey to yellow‑brown, sometimes with a paler edge.
Stipe: Pale brown‑yellow to grey‑yellow, sometimes with faint fibrils or weak girdling. Surface dry to slightly viscid, often longitudinally fibrillose when dry.
Context: Pale brown‑yellow, occasionally darker in the stipe base.
Odour/taste: Odour weakly raphanoid or earthy. Taste nil.
