Members of the pluteus genus are distinguish by having no Volva or ring and normal grow on damp spongy wood. The strip commonly has a grey-blue tint and a bulbous base. The gills are fine and crowded with pink spores. Under a microscope the cystidia can be easily seen. | ![]() |
