Cap: 5-25(-35) mm diam.; convex when young, becoming plano‑convex, applanate or occasionally centrally depressed with reflexed margins at maturity. Hygrophanous, non-viscid, conspicuously pellucid-striate when wet, striae extending from margin nearly to centre; slightly sulcate. Surface ± glabrous when wet, becoming sparsely and minutely furfuraceous when dry. Colour flesh-pink to reddish‑brown with a darker disc, drying buff.
Gills: Adnate to subdecurrent, distant, thick, often with numerous short lamellulae; to 6 mm deep; flesh-pink, slightly glaucous.
Stipe: 2.5-6 cm long, 1.5-3.5 mm diam., ± equal; dry, hollow or stuffed; glabrous with a cartilaginous appearance when wet, not distinctly longitudinally fibrillose. Reddish-brown, ± concolorous with pileus centre. Flesh reddish-brown. Basal mycelium white.
Context: Extremely thin in pileus, concolorous with surface; reddish-brown in stipe.
Odour/tast: Not distinctive.
