Description:
This fungus has two growth forms, and recently these have been separated into two species, Pseudohydnum orbiculare has a bracket-like form with a poorly developed stipe that grows from the side of large decaying wood in overlapping clusters. with cap colours ranging from translucent white to dark brown. Contrary to the official description, it can grow a stipe when growing from the top of a log.
