A warm‑coloured coral fungus with fleshy pink to salmon branches, bright yellow young apices, and orange‑yellow internal flesh. Stipe often appears fasciculate.

Fruitbody: To 8 × 5 cm, repeatedly branched, obovate in profile. Stipe single but often branched near the base and appressed, giving a falsely fasciculate appearance. Flesh white where protected, the surface pruinose, the plush easily rubbed off to reveal a weakly water‑soaked appearance. Stipe involves insignificant substrate when picked.
Branches: Several, arising irregularly but at roughly the same level, to 6 mm thick, terete but often somewhat grooved, erect. Colour delicate fleshy pink when young (“flesh colour”), maturing to muted salmon (“salmon colour”, “light vinaceous cinnamon”). Axils rounded to narrowly rounded; internodes elongating during development.
Apices: Double‑dichotomous to cuspidate, bright yellow (“light orange‑yellow”) when young, fading to buff‑yellow with age.
Flesh:Branches orange‑yellow upward (“capucine‑orange”), stuffed to almost hollow in the upper parts, solid and white toward the stipe.
Odour/taste: Odour Weakly fragrant.Taste Weakly bitter.
