A medium‑sized grey‑brown species recognized by its acutely conical to umbonate pileus, lack of distinctive odour or taste, and especially its remarkably small, 5–6‑angled spores.

Pileus: 15-45 mm, distinctly conico‑convex when young, later remaining sharply conical or becoming broadly umbonate to obtusely papillate. When moist, dark grey-brown and strongly transparent‑striate toward the margin; drying paler. Surface smooth, dry, membranaceous, hygrophanous.
Lamellae: 40-55 reaching stipe, with 3–5 lamellulae, adnexed to almost free, ventricose, up to 4 mm wide. Colour isabel, gradually becoming pinkish; edges entire, concolorous.
Stipe: 30-60 x 1.5-4 mm, cylindrical, equal or gradually widening toward the base (up to 5 mm diam.). Concolorous with pileus or paler. Upper half smooth; lower half with thin, appressed whitish or silky fibrils. Hollow, dry, fragile, solitary.
Context: concolorous, brittle.
Odour/taste: not distinctive.
