A tiny but intensely coloured Dermocybe with a brilliant cinnabar‑ to wine‑red cap, red lamellae, and slender red stipe often with orange‑ochre veil fibrils at the base.

Pileus: Up to 25 mm, hemispherical to convex to campanulate to umbonate‑expanded. Brilliant cinnabar‑red, blood‑red, or wine‑red. Strongly fibrillose to velutinous, sometimes minutely squamulose. Dry, non‑striate margin, no veil remnants.
Lamellae: 8-12, with 3 lamellulae series. Adnate to emarginate, ventricose, to 3 mm wide. Concolorous with pileus, later rust‑brown. Edges fimbriate to serrulate due to abundant cheilocystidia.
Stipe: 30 × 1-1.5 mm, slender, cylindrical, sometimes slightly swollen at base. Concolorous with pileus. Base often with orange‑ochre veil fibrils (universal veil), but no cortina. Dry, fibrillose, hollow; basal tomentum often well developed. Solitary or cespitose.
Context: Cinnabar‑red throughout.
Odour/taste: Not distinctive.
